Alison joined Phillips & Leigh in February 2017 and specialises in the fields of Biotechnology and Chemistry, as well as having experience with mechanical cases. A fluent German speaker, prior to joining Phillips & Leigh, Alison spent time in another UK firm and in a German firm.
Studying Natural Sciences at the University of Cambridge and specialising in Plant Sciences in the final year, Alison’s final year project was directed towards the relationship between iridescence caused by diffraction gratings on flower petals and the foraging choices of bumble bees. This involved the analysis of diffraction gratings, as well as many differential conditioning and choice tests with artificial flowers to investigate bee behaviour.
Outside of work Alison enjoys archery, acting and playing guitar and is also an amateur folk singer, having performed many times solo and now working in a duo which performs traditional folk songs as well as their own compositions.
