Randeep joined Phillips & Leigh in May 2017 as a trainee specialising in electronics and mechanical engineering inventions. He has experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications in both the UKIPO and the EPO relating to a wide range of technologies, predominantly in the fields of signal processing, optical devices, machine learning and artificial intelligence.
Prior to joining Phillips & Leigh, Randeep studied towards his PhD in Physics at the University of Birmingham. There he utilised neutron and X-ray scattering to study exotic magnetism and superconductivity. For his Master’s degree, his research involved conducting low temperature and high pressure measurements to investigate quantum phase transitions.
Outside of work, Randeep takes pleasure in the art of pugilism as both a participant and a spectator.
