Career history
Jim joined Phillips & Leigh in 1980.  He qualified as a UK Patent Attorney in 1984 and as a European Patent Attorney in 1985. He became a partner in 1986.

Jim Boff is former Honorary Secretary of the Chartered Institute of Patent Agents; a member of the council of the Chartered Institute of Patent Agents; Chairman of the EPO Finances Committee of the European Patent Institute; Vice-Chairman of Examination Committee III of the EPO for the European Qualifying Examinations (setting and examining the legal paper for these examinations); and a Member of the Disciplinary Board of the European Patent Office.
