Keith is Phillips & Leigh’s specialist trade mark partner, working with direct clients from the USA and Asia as well as from the UK.  His areas of special expertise, in addition to his wide experience of day-to-day trade mark practice, include

Career history
Keith joined the trade mark profession in 1987 with a regional private practice, where he gained his UK trade mark qualifications by examination in 1991.  He then founded, as a partner, his own specialist trade marks practice, and worked as a consultant to, among others, a multi-national pharmaceutical group, senior London law firms, and Phillips & Leigh. He became a partner of the firm in 1999.  He was elected a Fellow of the Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys in 2002.

Keith lectured in trade marks to students studying at Queen Mary College, University of London.  He served for four years as Examiner to the UK Joint Examination Board for Patents and Trade Marks.  He has been a member of the CIPA Trade Marks Committee (serving as Vice-Chairman) and is a member of the CIPA Textbooks & Publications Committee with special responsibility for the training manual series.  He is an observer, by invitation, at the Congresses of the Asian Patent Attorneys’ Association.
